BLESS THIS MESS
Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies are a special twist on the classic cookie recipe that makes them taste out-of-this-world good.
Preheat your oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a saucepan, brown unsalted butter over medium-high heat. Then, transfer it to a large mixing bowl.
Add 4 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter, ¾ cup dark brown sugar, ½ cup granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon salt. Mix well.
Whisk in one whole egg and one egg yolk. Let the mixture rest for 3 minutes, then whisk briefly after each rest.
Gently fold in 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour and ½ teaspoon of baking soda until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared parchment-lined baking sheets.
Bake for 10-14 minutes until the edges are golden, and the centers are soft. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a short while before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
